Katrina Kaif is in a fun-filled mood these days. For her latest release, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (ZNMD), the actor learnt to ride a bike. And now, she is putting her training to test by taking co-star Hrithik Roshan for a bike ride around Bandra this afternoon. “All credit goes to Katrina for learning how to ride a bike for the film,” says producer Ritesh Sidhwani. “We thought since she didn’t get to drive the car during our road trip to New Delhi, let her feel the thrill by riding a bike. So, it’s finally happening. We’re getting all the required permissions.”
Katrina, on her part, is excited. “I practiced riding a light bike in Mumbai. But in Spain, I learnt how to ride a heavy one. I had to train hard for four to five days, but Zoya took just three hours to can the shot. I really enjoyed the process of learning to ride the bike,” laughs Kat, who is now “seriously thinking about buying one” to commute within the city.
In fact, rumour mills suggest that she wants to own a Harley Davidson and might soon seal the deal for the same. Throughout the promotional campaign of ZNMD, ever since she learnt to ride a bike, the boys from the film crew kept teasing Kat. They would often say that they’d like to sit behind her and go for a ride.
At a recent press conference too, Katrina declared that she loves riding the bike and would do so around the city, given an opportunity. Katrina — who is now set to do an item number for Salman Khan’s upcoming biggie, Bodyguard — not only learnt to ride the bike, but also took lessons in deep sea diving, especially for the film.
