The designer will present a finale for the third time in the city at the Mumbai Fashion Week. Celebrated designer Manish Malhotra, who's known for his impactful designs on Bollywood stars (read Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, Kajol and Urmila) will now usher the grand finale at the upcoming fashion week in Mumbai on August 22. Speaking from Dubai, "I am really excited. And this show will be grander than usual, this time with my show, I promise," says Manish enthusiastically.
Incidentally, 11 years ago, Manish had presented the first grand finale of this Week with designers Rohit Bal and Rina Dhaka in aamchi Mumbai itself. In 2007, he presented the finale again. And this time around, he will be presenting a Winter/Festive collection called 'Absolute'. Designs will be completely contemporary with an inherent Indian element in it. "If you are thinking it's going to be my usual bridal show, then fashionistas can be in for a huge surprise," promises Manish.
Manish is also on the advisory board panel of Mumbai Fashion Week. He has been reviving weaves from Kashmir and contributing to the Mijwan foundation along with actress Shabana Azmi and Ranbir Kapoor.
