The film managed to hang on well after a very good  opening weekend and demonstrated sustained collections over the weekdays  with second weekend doing good as well. Turning out to be a pan-India  success, 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan' is now a reason for Yash Raj Films to  rejoice as well after 'Band Baaja Baaraat'. 
What has also worked in favour of 'Mere Brother Ki  Dulhan' is the fact that Imran Khan has seen a huge revival of sorts  after 'Delhi Belly', 'I Hate Luv Storys' and to an extent 'Break Ke  Baad'. On the other hand Katrina Kaif too is coming fresh out of the  success of 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara', something that must have played  in audience mind. Not to forget good music and some terrific promotion  that Chopras ventured upon this time around.
All said and done, the film is a clear success now  and with 60 crores collections pretty much in sight, it is now a clean  hit. For Bollywood in general as well as audience, it is indeed a golden  period running with successive hits being churned out week after week.  Here is wishing that the trend just continues!
