With no competition from any major release last Friday, the Yashraj movie Mere Brother Ki Dulhan is going strong at box office. 
The film got a good opening Rs. 25.6 crore nett in its opening  weekend and its run at theatres remained steady over its first week. The  movie was made at a cost of Rs. 20 crore and it raked in a decent  collection of Rs. 37.5 crore nett in its first week run at the theatres.  Add to that the fact that the much awaited Mausam, scheduled to release on Sept 16, was postponed by a week, giving MBKD another seven days of good run. 
Going by the trade figures, the collections in the second week have  dipped slightly for MBKD but the movie is holding steady more or less. 
On the other hand, Salman Khan’s Bodyguard  rounded off its second week with a collection of Rs. 21 crore nett,  taking its total collections to the whopping figure of Rs. 130.50 crore  nett. 
The coming Friday would see the release of Mausam and Speedy Singhs. Of the two, Mausam is expected to get a good opening.
